Not stupid. Bluetooth is EXTREMELY insecure. I don't use it on ANYTHING personal that I own. It might sound extreme, but everything I own is wired. There are a few exceptions for things like my laptop, and that particular wireless network is on a DMZ with firewalls in-between, and I only use VPN software for connectivity.

For those who think I'm just being overly paranoid, do your own research. And you will find sites like this that make it child's play. http://www.insecure.in/bluetooth_hacking.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It could be a big liability for the whole police department, so it's good not to have it in the cars!

I'll keep Bluetooth disabled on my devices, thank you. I really like the fact that my PPV came with stripped down tech. In fact, I wish it had less "software" controlling the car. I'm a computer engineer... and there is a reason I feel this way.

Heh, NOT paranoid, just a heightened sense of awareness!! :lol:

Yeah, I'm with you. I turn on blueteeth only when I need it then it's off when I'm done. I found it quite annoying that several recent updates to our IOS gear from Apple turned ON bluetooth when they were updated. The latest update doesn't do that annoying thing. It's a trivial hack to get Pwn3d!
