OBDII data available for gauges

Hello and thank you for taking time to read this.

Is there a source of the data that can be read from the OBDII port on the WN series Caprice regards gauges? Specifically I see the center dash 3 gauge pod available online, so, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and what 3rd gauge might I fill that pod with?

Again, thank you.

I'd have either transmission temperature or voltage. There is lots of data available. Another possibility is current gear which can be useful for TUTD shifting which is available in Torque. You could go through the custom PIDs list in there to see what is available.

Do you have a link to that gauge pod? I'm sure we'd all be interested.

Mooseman-
I got the gauge pod from MobileAttractions, have a look at the Chevy SS section.

Nice except that it's only for the SS so no 11-14 Caprices and all are sold out.

Which gauges are you using with the pod? Are they programmable to read different PIDs?

Mooseman-
I am putting Speedhut OBDII gauges in the pod ( 2.062"), they are purpose built, and run app' $80 each. The pod I got looks different than the one pictured at MobileAttracions, mine is covered in black stitched leather. The drawback to the pod is that it uses a pushpin lock mechanism. on the other hand, it for me, is ideally located.

Just rough wired in the guages in the pod to check function, thought I would share for anyone curious as to what it looks like, will post another picture when it's mounted in it's correct position.

Hello Jeff-
Yes, you get the data for the gauges from the OBDII port, then supply 12 volts power and ground.

The Mobile Attractions pod with the Speedhut Freedom OBD gauges work great in my car. I custom designed them to match the SS instrument cluster. They come with a plug to get data from the OBD port.
