Tom,

Go ahead & send Chris the radio & front as soon as you get done with it. Let me know what the postage runs and I'll reimburse you for it.

Chris, I think we're gonna keep you very busy for a while. Happy times and a win for all of us Caprice owners! :) Now you know the next step is talking you into a car.... LOL

Thanks
Eric

That would be PERFECT. That way I can power it up on the bench and test interaction and more than likely give you what you guys want :)

I'll try to get it shipped out to you by the end of the week... been researching the hardware to see what all it is capable of... Particularly looking for a blutooth IC...

According to the NXP website, the global receiver in these units is HD & DRM compatible... would be awesome to have HD radio, but I'm guessing that would be a more monumental task...

Of course :) I'll look into HD radio but I'll bet dollars to donuts the software side of that was never finished so yes massive undertaking. I've got quite a few things figured out, just need to test! :)

Original BCM with program update for RPO BTV (remote start) installed--and it works!

Thanks, Chris!

For details on required GM parts, refer back to original post in this thread - hood latch with micro switch (for hood position status) and 4-button RKE transmitter.
