11-17 Washer Pump Connector Info

Post by smwalker »

Member asked to get some info on this connector for making an extension harness for the washer circuit (someones putting in an intercooler??) . Looks to be the same for all years of the G8, Caprice and SS This is what I found in the service manual:

OEM Part number 7283-7031-10 Looks to be a Yazaki 090-II series 3 cavity Female - Male Counterpart is 7282-7031-10

Terminals for these connectors:

Using 18 Gauge wire I would go with these terminas and seals:
MALE: 7114-4026
FEMALE: 7116-4026
Wire seal M&F: 7157-3646 Cavit Plug: 7157-8761

GM Part number 13578536 (ACDelco PT3005) is a pigtail assembly for connection into the pump:

At $50.00 I think building your own would be cheaper that is if the parts are available in small lots. Not seeing that so far at my usual vendors for connectors.

Might there be a Male plug pigtail ready to buy?? No not seeing it.

PURCHASING:
Looking at my regular vendor for Yazaki parts, Nexus Electronics in CA they have the terminals but the connectors look to be special order. And they got a $50 min order.

Mouser and digikey do not seem to carry Yazaki Parts.

There is a company in Irvine CA, SMD, that says they have some of the male connectors in stock but not sure if their site is accurate or just always shows stock on stuff just to get a RFQ from people. Showing special order on the female connectors. Showing no male terminals but do have the Female terminals

Manufacturer in China seems to be making a copy and has low Minimums:

Does not seem to be a one stop shop situation.

Steve,
This is info is most timely and appropriate as I will be relocating my washer tank. Actually, it's gone at the moment. ;)

Yea I figured many people will eventually need this info with all the superchargers going on. May want to check if someone from the G8 crowd is making an extension harness for this already.
