Oil Pressure gauge?

Post by ls1mike »

Did a search, perhaps incorrectly..., couldn't find anything.

Anyone install an aftermarket oil pressure gauge?

Hey Mike this is a little late of a response and may not be totally helpful if you are only interested in installing a physical gauge to read oil pressure.

You can use an ELM 327 wifi adapter in the OBD2 port to pull various bits of info from the car and read trouble codes etc. There are quite a few apps available (some free some paid) that will work with this adapter.

I am currently displaying oil pressure, oil temp, trans temp, and battery voltage in gauges on my phone mounted to the dashboard.

Let me know if you're interested and I can provide more information!

I have one of those and have used it on our '10 Tahoe PPV to see what's what on that truck. I need to try it on the Caprice, just to see what's happening. They're pretty cool, and if you get the right MIBs you can create all sorts of 'gauges'.
