Thanks,
I want to use the G8 headlight switch for the control wire to the relay.
The signal from the headlight switch is gnd, so the other end of the control needs to go to power, but it could go to an ignition power.
That way no parasitic draw on the battery.
So the fogs go to gnd and up to power with a fuse.
But you are saying there's a power from the aux battery I can tap from in the engine compartment or are they all under the dash?
I pulled the dash wires out to look at them, didn't know what they were for and pushed them back.

BTW, do you guys know of an easy way through the firewall?
I went into the drivers fender and into a hole above the inside fuse panel.[/quote]

They are under the dash... but you can also tap in from the trunk...

I thought I would post this information up, just in case it helps people.

On the Australian model Omega (Models without fog lights), the BCM supports the foglight input from a lightswitch with the fog light function.
I must admit I know very little about how this all works (at the moment), as I havent really done a lot of research in to it.

Anyway, keeping that in mind, if we can work out the above, here is information on how to add the foglight warning lamp to the PPV cluster.
(Tested and working on a PPV cluster, fitted to an Aus model VE - Thanks Eric)

Note this lamp is ultimately controlled by the BCM, so we will need to work out how to wire the switch up to the BCM to control this lamp.

You will need to fit a 3K SMT Resistor to the above location, as well as fit a green SMT Led for the warning lamp.

Parts List
1 x 3K SMT Resistor (1206 package style)
1 x Green SMT LED (1210 package style)
These can be bought from eBay very cheaply, or they may be easy enough to source from a local electronics store.
(Electronics stores are becoming very very rare in Oz)... :(

I thought I would post this up here, as I am doing some cluster work (Hi Eric !) and have been working out how to add all the extra warning lights to VE / PPV clusters

I believe they are from the Holden Berlina.
I don't know the part numbers.
They are going to look great!

OK, here are the parts required for the chrome-trimmed lamps:

Australia-only parts: (as supplied by Crazy Paul)

92238667 Harness

92255233 Base – chrome front fog - LH
92255234 Base – chrome front fog – RH

I am ready to get on the fog light bandwagon. Does anyone know the part number for the black (base) fog light bezals that fit the PPV. Also, does crazy paul have a website to order this kind of stuff or do you just PM him here on the forum?

92266067 Cover – front fog lamp – LH
92266068 Cover – front fog lamp – RH

US parts: (any GM dealer)

94708773 Fog lamp - LH
94708774 Fog lamp - RH
currently available on e-bay:

92223843 G8 headlamp switch with fog lamp feature (orange backlight) - cheaper than buying "correct" part from Australia
several installations have not used this switch

All parts above are quantity one (1) each

Mounting hardware
9114472 Nut (4) (blue plastic)
11589015 Bolt (4)
13144822 Bolt (4)

I do not have the PN's for the standard black fog lamp covers used on Steve Harbour's install.

Will fog light part numbers for the 2011 PPV be correct for later years (2014)?

Hopefully CP will see this--I'd like to say it's a qualified "yes" - the front bumper cover is the same for all years, after the first-year VIN break > new part. Unless there's been some PN changes for the fog lamp components, the same lamp parts should work.

navylifer: Thanks. I noticed early PPVs had a change to the front side-markers. So the change occured in 2011 and 2014 is well past the breakpoint.
