"Cigarette lighter" has no power

Post by andrewL »

Just purchased a 2014 caprice and when I plugged my charger into the auxiliary power I had nothing going to it. Does anyone here have a diagram or a common fix before I tear into the thing?

Think it's going to be fuse 14 in the instrument panel fuse box. Some diagrams here:

Make sure the relays are all there as well.

EDIT: Actually that is for a 2011, not sure if changed for the 14.
EDIT: Yup really changed for 2014. YOu have a fuse box in the trunk??

Think this is the AU version of the fuse block see if it jives with your PPV owners manual:

X53A Fuse Block – Rear Body Label

The fuses for the accessory plugs are:
F112 - INT/APO - F8RA Fuse X80F Accessory Power Receptacle - Front, X80H Accessory Power Receptacle - Center Console
F202 - REAR/APO - F35RA Fuse - X80C Accessory Power Receptacle – Cargo, X80R Accessory Power Receptacle – Rear Compartment

The retained power relay that controls them Or maybe just the front plugs) is:
K10 - RAP/ACCY - KR76 Retained Accessory Power Relay - F14RA Fuse, F15RA Fuse
