Rear Stereo Speakers

Ok, From what I have read on here in 2013 Chevrolet stopped putting speaker grills on the rear door panels? I saw a unknown year Caprice 9C1 that looked identical to mine and noticed his vehicle had speaker grill on the rear door...he also had a donut spare which I have never seen before but thats another story. When I move my fader to the rear I hear nothing from my speakers. The dealer also thinks something is wrong with my stereo becuase when you turn the volume up it get all eratic and doesnt change the volume. You have to adjust the volume from the steering wheel. New Radio Face is almost $800! I have a huge scratch on my hazzard light button and a small scuff on the right side of my screen so with my OCD the way it is this might be an excuse to kill 2 birds with one stone! I will say this stereo system sounds horrible and who ever at GM who thought not having speaker grills so the sound could come through is sleeping at the wheel. I would love to throw in an aftermarket Kenwood and have a back up camera, SAT Radio, Navigation, Apple Play....and something cool 4 freakin speakers!

From what I understand there is no aftermarket radio options for us, but there are some tricks we can get unleashed by Chris White. It appears to have all the mods done already.

One of them is backup camera but you need to find a rare video connector that only one person knows how to get and is gouging people on cost to get rather than just sharing info to let everyone a shot at sourcing. My current plan is to just get a monitor in a rear view mirror when I add a camera. Like you, I'm a new owner and just starting civilian upgrades.

I'm the one selling the radio on here. I updated the ad to now include the rare video connector and also throwing in the USB connector. Considering how much programming is alone, it's an awesome deal.
