Mounting the HUD

Post by impalaplt »

It seems that I DIDN'T get the metal subframe with my complete SS Dash.....

Has anyone mounted the HUD in a regular PPV Dash? Any tips? Pictures? HINTS???

I don't want to tear my SS down to see what the mounting looks like.

I would like to have some idea of what I'm getting into before hand.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Gene

MAYBE they'll actually be able to get it....

I found "THIS": Heads-Up Display Bracket - GM (92293180)

Does it have to be a metal bracket? I'm thinking imaging & 3D printing could be a good substitute for some of this stuff, you know some of the plastics are pretty tough nowadays...

it is a pretty thin metal bracket , but last i remember nothing grounds through it , so id think a 3d printed one would be ok
