My phone/cam didn't completely understand the edges on the pattern, it looks better in person. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-4DYON ... p=drivesdk

Re: DIY 1/4" Hexagon Grille
That is a cool look. You can see the detail better zooming in.

Re: DIY 1/4" Hexagon Grille
Many Thanks for that Mooseman! Perhaps it was the lighting that produced the phantom discoloration on the upper passenger side. My attempts to correct it further distorted the actual pattern. I'll update this topic when I have a better picture. Cheers bud!

Re: DIY 1/4" Hexagon Grille
That looks good. How difficult was it to do both grills?

Re: DIY 1/4" Hexagon Grille
Thank You Chevy-Art! The upper grille was easy. I just cut out all the plastic on the inside of the frame with tin snips, and sanded them close to flush. The only thing I would've done differently, is trying to mount the hexagon grille in between the back of the frame and the body (hood), instead of sandwiching it between the rear of the chrome (outer) ring and the front of the support frame. I'm not sure if it would've helped the fitment or not.
The lower grille was a total afterthought, because I had extra material left over. The most difficult part for me was deciding where to cut the grille, because I wasn't hiding any material behind a frame. The geometry of the pattern prohibited me from cutting the exact same place on both sides, to achieve the overall shape I was attempting.
