Thought I would throw out another idea for center console. I bought the Nenno center console and removed the rear fabric. Then I bought a 2/3 yard of black outdoor vinyl from Joanne Fabrics.
I covered the slotted metal plate with the vinyl. I used spray adhesive on the top and sides and hot glue on the underside.
Then mounted the Nenno brackets. I had to get 2 additional nuts. I did not use their clips. I originally had the console further back but since my wife is short and couldn't reach it I moved it all the way up.
I did not use the metal bracket under the slotted bracket. I didn't see a need for it. I used 2 one inch spacers for the front bolts to mount the console. (or you could just grind the spot welds on the metal bracket and pop the spacers off it.) I also painted the front bolts since you can partially see them.
Then screw the console to the brackets.
In a month or two I am going to add outlets on the front and rear and a cup holder for the rear seat passengers. Will update then.
