Interior rear door panel interchange

Post by PPV Dad »

Hello, have a 2013 9c1 and the rear door panels do not have speaker grills, will 2012 rear door panels with speaker grills interchange into my 2013 ?
Thank you in advance for help and time.

A 2012 panel should fit the 2013. The 2013 9C3 has a door panel with a speaker grill that looks identical to the 11 and 12’s.

Thank u for the reply, that’s what I was thinking until I looked at the part numbers on GM Parts Direct which listed different part numbers for the rear door panels for 2013 models 9c1 & 9c3 vs a diff set of part numbers which are the same for 2011 & 2012 with or with our speaker grills .
Will find our Saturday when I go and look at a set of 2012 and see if they will work.
Thanks again

the early 13's had the speaker hole door panels , they changed later on to the 14 style , but are not the same

but as far as i know the 9c1's do not have audio to the rear speakers , and the 9c3 i believe does

Well we finally got around to installing the 2012 rear door panel we picked up in our 2013 PPV 9c1.
The panels fit fine but there is a little difference, the 12 panel has an additional clip holder that the 13 does not. See the pic attached where we layed both panels together and you can see the difference. On the 13 where the rear window switch wires comes out of the metal framework of the door the clip base On the 12 panel would pinch these wires thus you have to cut down this clip base .
The left side of pic is the 13 panel , right is the 12 .
Thanks to everyone for the support.

You would not want to do that really because you could not change out the fronts to match, Because the door panels in the 11-13 integrate into the dash (air vent is in the door panel) they do not work well in the 14's dash. The hot ticket on the 14+ is to get the rear panels from AU as they have the speaker grills. Many times we can only get them with the ivory inserts but some have had the inserts and arm rest recovered to match the SS front door panels which we can get a little easier. Here is a recent example that use to be ivory:

Because they are larger than the limits on the Postal rules they gotta go by a private carrier and that can get expensive and not many of the wreckers in AU are willing to ship to USA. There are a few guys who are bringing over larger shipments of items. They are mostly active on FB. Every few months they post like 4 sets for sale of varying quality. They are floating around out there. Gotta be quick!
