can anyone with an '11 show me a picture of the stock mirror? I'm pretty sure the one in my car isnt oem

yeah mine looks nothing like that lol, no compass and some odd map lights in the bottom.

and the original plug was cut, could you post a picture of the plug in the back of the mirror, I have a line on a g8 mirror with a plug, and i want to see if it would work to splice it with my existing wires

Will do. But I think the G8's will have onstar buttons no?

Actually I decided to wing it and I bought it and installed it and it worked.

The g8 mirror does have the OnStar buttons, and the plug coming out of the mirror had like 8 wires, but I compared them to the four wires coming out of the ceiling (the upfitters cut the plug off, obviously) and I saw that the colors matched four of the wires on the g8 plug. hooked the alike colors together (pink/blue, black with silver bands and pink stripe, black with silver bands and brown stripe, black with silver bands)

Airbag light works, compass works

Cool, I remember someone was asking about where to put some buttons for something. re-purposing the onstar buttons might be a way to add a stealth switch for something.

Is there se way to calibrate the compass? It's a mess right now

how long is "a few seconds"? i cant get it into calibrate mode, either turns it off or enters zone selection
