And the main reason I don't have a new Z06 is, it's just too small for me, or I would have one!

Still reading replies, thanks to all.
Not discouraged by the mpg at all, just wanted to hear some real world numbers and I got them

Re: Potential new owner...how bad is the MPG?
My commute is 75 miles per day almost all highway...BUT probably 50/50 actual highway speeds and stop-and-go traffic. Real world is right at 20mpg. I don't drive to maximize mileage. It sees wide open throttle probably 3 times a day average. It's the Mad Max Thunderdome driving in Houston traffic! Kill or be killed! lol

My last road trip I got a bit less then 25mpg. This is averaging 70-75 going up and down Appalachians on I81. Bone stock other then an axle back using 87 octane 10% ethanol gas. Around town I get 14 to 15 range.

Re: Potential new owner...how bad is the MPG?
Our 2014 all stock is posting 17.8mpg with note 6,000 miles. My wife drives it normally in town with one round trip of 1,700 miles when we bought it new (200)miles on the odometer.
Re: Potential new owner...how bad is the MPG?
My 2012 9c1 has 150k miles on it. Since I've owned it, I only use e85 because it's cheap compared to 87. I get 14mpg driving very hard. I didn't get this car for it's amazing gas mileage, I got it because it's an LS 4door for cheap. I don't mind the mileage, I used to own 2 Dakota 318 4x4's that got maybe 13mpg, it's an improvement for me

Heh. Funny. When I checked that on our '12, it read something like 23 MPH avg speed. Apparently the ar sat a lot idling.

Re: Potential new owner...how bad is the MPG?
I will add one thing to the mix. If you have access to non-ethanol fuel it could potentially help to add 2-3 MPG to your numbers, that's what I pick up on my car when I run a tank on average. Soooo.... if you see 22-23 on regular 87 ethanol-laced gas, getting some non-ethanol in there could possibly add up to 2 MPG on that. You could, in theory get up to 25 with a tailwind and a prayer - if you drove "very" conservatively and kept the AFM enabled. Maybe. Possibly. Insert other disclaimers as appropriate.
