I am so glad to hear there are folks getting good drive-ability. That's good news for all of us.
Current: 2013 9C3, deeper trans pan, 12VoltSolutions Remote, Class III hitch, Android Auto capable radio

Thanks for all the input.
I am going to try this stuck lifter fix before I go any further. It's cheap and if it works, it buys me a little time to research a full delete:

As far as tuning, I've been wanting to learn it so I'm picking up a HP Tuner and start with disabling the DOD myself. I feel like I should be able to tune for a cam or exhaust or whatever is in this car's future using all the help that's available here and in other forums.
I'll let you know how it works out!

There's just something about that grey on this car that makes it look noice!

I agree! And although I don't love the steelies, I think when I do replace the wheels I'm sticking with something black because I like that combo.
Re: New Owner 2011 Caprice 6.0 in Oregon
The fix I posted worked on my collapsed lifter. She's running on all 8 again! That took care of the check engine light and stabilitrack errors.
The DOD is physically disabled so I just need to disable it in the tune.
Next on the list is the parasitic battery drain and the bad TPMS sensor. I think the first upgrades will be exhaust and differential. Once I get into that, I'll start a build thread.

I've driven it a couple hundred miles since the lifter repair with no issues. The only thing I noticed was that after a few start cycles, the check engine light did come back on but once I disabled DOD in the tune, that is resolved. It even passed Oregon's emission test!

Here's a couple of pics with wheels from a 2015 Camaro. Picked them up on Craigslist. I had originally planned on powder coating or plastidipping them for a gunmetal finish but these wheels are in really nice shape so I decided to leave them alone and see how I like them. Running the Eagle 235-50-18 tires that came on it.
