Finally starting on my 2011

Post by Notacop »

What’s up guys,
I’m Matt from Indianapolis.
I’ve had my daily driver 2011 6.0 9C1 (mine has full carpet ;)) for a little over a year (only “mods” I’ve done are rear muffler delete which drones BAD and tint). I just got her paid off plus I’m 6 months into deployment so I have decided it’s time to start collecting parts before I come back to other responsibilities haha.
I have a buddy back home that’s been nice enough to run around and pick some stuff up locally.
Here’s what I have collected so far/what’s next on the list:
SS springs
2015 Camaro SS wheels
eBay center console
VCM OTR CAI
NEXT UP:
-EXHAUST: KOOKS long tubes 1 7/8 - cat less connection - 2.5” SOLO cat back (UNDECIDED ON WHICH UNIT - I’ve been studying and want it loud but still daily drivable.
-(when I get home) send my radio to WAM
-SHUT OFF DOD / eventually learn more about HP TUNERS
-DOD DELETE (GOTTA SAVE UP AND HIT UP BLP)

Any guidance you guys have to offer as I continue to collect parts and read up on here / FB groups I’d greatly appreciate! :D

Looks great! Good luck with your mods. I've got a '13 9c3 with Solo axle backs. I recently put the Camaro trans pan on and upgraded the left motor mount. Solo Axle back is very throaty. I also installed the 12voltsolutions remote so I could start with my cell phone. Sweet! I am still going to have my BCM and Stereo updated. I will also be changing cam/lifters/DOD. I really hate the 4 cyl drone. You can turn it off temporarily by going in manual shift mode and manually getting up to 6th gear. After that you need to manually up-shift but 4 cyl mode is de-activated. Can the 9c1 do "sport shift" mode?

The planning is fun. Enjoy!
Current: 2013 9C3, deeper trans pan, 12VoltSolutions Remote, Class III hitch, Android Auto capable radio

Update: just ordered Solo Mach cat-back system from Corey at Blue Line Performance! Also picked up a set of kooks to solo catless connection pipes! Can’t wait to get home to get this stuff on 👍

Please let me know how the Kooks installation goes. I think you are okay with your oil cooler (don't need to delete). Let us/me know if you have any other "complexities". I understand you may need to lengthen an O2 sensor line. eBay has extensions (that are too long but work).
