new guy from South Dakota

Post by v8powered »

Hey all, I recently picked up a black 2014 at a state auction here. Liking the car so far. I figure this site should come in handy for any mods that might come in the future. The things I want to do right away are get a center console and get the radio to do more than am-fm. All I've done so far is tint the windows.
I could post a pic, but you guys know what it looks like. Thanks in advance for the help, I'm off to do some research

Thanks. I'll get a pic on here before too long. The car is dirty and its so cold out it's kinda hard to wash anything very well. Joys of living in the north.

I took the spotlight off yesterday, was easier than i figured. Does anyone know if theres a block plate you can put in place of what is there on the outside? I thought maybe Unity made a plate but I couldnt find anything. I'm talking something you could bolt back on without the hole in the middle

Welcome!

No blocking plate for any ex-service vehicle that I am aware of. Sorry.

10-4.
I may end up fabbing a little metal plate. Im not looking to put a bunch of money into this car so having the body shop fix the hole is not an option.
BTW the brass from a 20ga emty will jam right in the spotlight shaft hole haha. Thats what I have in there right now so it wont leak

I wondered if anyone would catch that... theres not powder or shot in there, just the brass part of the shell. Couldnt find a good empty that day :D

Next trip to the range, I'll see if I can pick one up for you. I'd guess over time, the primer would weather out and not be quite a big deal, though.

Very apropos for an ex-service vehicle!
