Aloha From NC

Post by 13CapriceNC »

Hello my name is Rich, a new owner of a 2013 Caprice PPV, White, Former Texas State Trooper Car from New Braunfels TX area. I previously had a 2016 SS 6MT that was *cough* modified to death lol. I am curious to what kind of parts/modifications have been tried and tested on the PPVs. I am looking for a reliable cruiser / mean sounding ride. Thanks for welcoming me into the group.

Rich,
Welcome! Plenty of modifications have been done here. We have done the four piston Brembo brake upgrade (they fit under the stock steel wheels), The DOD delete is a great chance to change to a better cam, lifters and springs. A 3.27 or 3.45 LSD differential from the Camaro is another great upgrade. Plenty of turbo and supercharger mods also here. Just start searching and asking questions!

Good luck,

Maurice

Welcome! There are a plethora of mods available for these cars. If you did it on your SS, you can probably do it on your Caprice. There are a lot of good notes in the Member Builds area, as well in the electrical section, since so many mods on these cars usually entail turning on options that were turned off when built.

Thanks for the ideas! This car seems like it’s going to be fun to play around with. Have a great week.

It was not by a sound decision choice. Truth be told, it turned out to be a lemon.
