New owner from Colorado

Post by nstg8r »

Well, I did it, I bought a 2011 Caprice PPV 9c1 from a local auction, it came out of Aurora PD. It's filthy and disgusting and they removed the vinyl with a putty knife and I love it. Now to try to the parts to make it a real car and not a mobile jail cell.

Anyway I'm a car guy through and through so hopefully I can contribute as much as possible.

Yeah, they were not gentle. But that and other factors are why I probably got it as cheap as I did. They took off the front push bar but left all the bracketry behind so that is what you are seeing. I am going to look at replacement push bar tomorrow after work hopefully.

Congrats on the new purchase. At least they didn't use a grinder to remove the decals and stripes! Once you get past the cosmetics there are a lot f tings to do. Don't be afraid to ask. Also, please note that our max picture size is 1280 x 1024. We are pretty good about moderating pictures that are to large. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, yeah sorry about that, I couldn't figure out how to make it smaller on my phone. I guess I have to use a real computer when I'm going to post pictures.

Good find. Well on its way to recovery.

It's rare that they leave the silent patrolman in there although there have been instances where they also left the lights.

I have brand new back seats and door panels if you need them, I'm in Fort Collins. Actually going to start pulling drive train out of mine this weekend.

I am very interested, are you parting out the whole car? If so there may be more parts that I want as well depending on condition.
