Good Day From Ohio

Post by Bwillia97 »

Hi all! I am going to pick up my first Caprice PPV later this evening! I'm excited to join the community, but fear parts will be hard to find. That shouldn't be much of a challenge though as I'm pretty used to it. I also own a 1974 Dodge Monaco, so finding parts, especially body parts, is something I've gotten used to doing very quickly lol. Anyone have any suggestions to good websites/ stores for this? I look forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome!

One nice thing is you can mix and match some parts from other platforms. Some bits can be used from the CTS-V, SS, G8, Camaro, etc. Some bits, like body and interior parts, however are getting hard to find. It seems Holden REALLY shut things down when they ceased operations. Many parts for the SS are showing to be back-ordered with no anticipated date for restock. So it may be good to pick up a spare Caprice, and keep it in the back yard for parts.

Well, here it is!!!! I am absolutely in love with it! Amazing car with a stupid amount of power. After crossing over from the Ford Panther platform, this car is like night and day! I have been looking around for parts and have been collecting up some things already lol. Any suggestions on common wear parts that I may have issues with?

Interesting lights where driving lights usually go. Do they work?

I am not certain that the lights work or not. I haven't been able to figure them out yet. Likely they are left over from the police upfit.
