I have looked high and low for a 2013 Caprice and found one locally. I purchased from an individual and don't have much history. It has 62350 miles and the engine is quiet without any lifter noise. The idle hours are 3796. I don't know if that is average or not. Thanks for any answers on that. I have done quite a bit of cleanup, detailing and have addressed some mechanical and electronic issues. I have always wanted a '05 or '06 GTO or a '08 or '09 G8 GT so this Caprice is just fine. Holden makes a great vehicle.

Welcome, neighbor! Your '13 looks like a nice ride. What color is your SVO? We have a 2R 86!

Hey Gene. I finally jumped back onto the forum after many moons. I still have the same vehicles as noted in my profile. Have not had much time to drive anything but my Ranger P/U. I think I have driven the Caprice about 150 miles since 2017 and the SVO 0. The Saleen is still on jack stands. Am really planning on rectifying that soon. Here are a few photos of the cars. I have done a ton of work to the PPV mostly minor things to the appearance inside and out, also a few electrical issues. I am Scott Welch from the Autocross days with the black 2nd Gen. RX-7 that I bought from Guy Hoover in 2000. Hope all is well. Scott

Scott! Small world!! I actually was wondering if it was you. I mean, how many SVOs can there be in the Clear Lake area?

Our SVO hasn't moved in a while, either, but that's because we're completing a multi-year restomod on it. It doesn't look ANYTHING like it used to. I am currently replacing the cooling system, installing stainless cooling lines on it, and updating some things along the way. While it sat in the body shop, the gas went bad and rusted up the tank, pump and injectors. All that has been replaced, and the injectors are out right now getting cleaned/flowed/fixed. I hope to have them back soon.

We're still autocrossing, but now with a C Prepared 3rd Gen Firebird. The next event is the last event for the year and will be at Grand Sport Speedway in Hitchcock (the old blimp base) on Dec. 8.

The Caprice is a fun car to autocross. It's heavy, but handles well. We usually use it when the weather's too cold/bad for the Firebird.
