I used to Autox my Trans Am. I am planning on running next season with the PPV. I still need to find out what class they will put me in as the SCCA does not list these cars yet.

Welcome to the group! Too bad you just missed a 9C3 on eBay. They're pretty rare though, so you have to pull the trigger as soon as you see one.

I bet with a little elbow grease at the corner judge chair and some smooth talking with the judges, and you could get it entered in the same class as a G8 GT.

What's going on Maryland. I joined a little while ago, it would be cool to find everyone from Maryland or even the DMV/PA and meet up sometime. Let me know what you guys think.

We've autocrossed ours a couple of times. We'll usually take it when our C Prepared Firebird is out of action, or there's a threat of rain. Great fun. At one event I got the car pretty crossed up on the final turn into the finish straight. The car didn't like that at all. I tripped the finish lights with my right foot on the floor, and the engine at idle. I was still laughing when I pulled up to the flag guy. He gave me a weird look.

I have some suspension mods planned, then plan to take it out again and see how it does. Although I know it's not, it feels lighter and is easier to throw around than our 96 Impala SS.

IIRC, the SCCA has a pretty good presence in the Maryland area. There are more than a few Solo Nationals Champions running out of that neck of the woods.
