Installing 9C3 Wheel Covers

Post by NJ 9C3 »

Hey everyone, in order to put the stock 9C3 wheel covers on, are there bolts that are required to secure them onto the wheel or do those "faux" lug nuts on the wheel cover secure onto the lug nuts on the wheel? Thanks for your help.

Yes the Fuax lug nuts on the cover thread onto the actual lug nuts of the wheel. You should have lug nuts that have some exterior thread on them. If you do not they may have changed them out for standard ones.

Look similar to this:

And of course do not tighten the faux ones with an impact. just snug by hand as they can break easily.

If yours is a 9C1 with the small caps and you want full wheel covers, you'll have to get new lug nuts, as described above. Either get Dorman 611115 (I got mine from RockAuto.com for $1.05 each), or GM lug nuts here for $1.82 each:

The external thread version is 9595175.
