Can't help with the wheels but I have some General Altimax Arctic on my Crown Vic and put them on my wife's car. I went thin, 225, and have had incredible success thus far. If I were to put snows on the Caprice I would absolutely go with them again. And as stated, 5x120 is what you'll want. I believe I've seen instances of guys putting different bolt pattern wheels on the G8s, but maybe the 120.25 or whatever it is... 114 seems like a bridge too far.

EDIT: Saw your WTB ad for 4 stock wheels so I could imagine that that is the route you're going.

Stock center bore looks to be 66.9

Can't comment on rings... I'm on plain jane steelies right now.

Thanks, 5x120
offset 46mm
center 66.9- (70.3)
sums it up.

235 55 17 can replace stock 235 50 18 s if you want to drop down a size for snows.

You sure about that? I thought we had to have 18" wheels to clear the front brakes.
