Contact Geoff Thuring at JHP vehicle enhancements, geoff@jhp.com.au I bought two sets of Caprice-V takeoffs from him, and a lot of other stuff. Excellent to deal with.

I'd be interested in looking at Caprice-V takeoffs also if anyone can point me in the right direction. A quick google search didn't turn up anything.
Jim, I suggest you get in touch with Cajun G8 (George) there in LA--he may even be in BR, don't remember. He may know of some available G8 take-offs, or something else that might interest you.

As for Caprice-V takeoffs, you need to reach out to one of several sources in Australia--Crazy Paul http://members.iinet.net.au/~pjsadler/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is a good place to start, as well as ebay Australia.

C.P. does way more than what you see on his website, you just gotta ask! His service is excellent, which is not necessarily the case with others in Australia, from what I've heard. These cars are more expensive to up-fit if you want to use genuine Holden parts, mainly due to the logistics--and the US dollar to AUS dollar values.

Here's something I meant to post, which seems to partially validate what the Tonkin parts info shows--I don't know what to say about 6638 being a valid Hollander wheel code, considering this source suggests it was offered in 18" in production, but the GXP wheel, which is the only G8 wheel of that style I'm aware of, was 19". The 2009 GXP wheel info is not displayed, and there's nothing in Tonkin parts about the 6638 style (in 18"). If I had a part number, that would give me some greater confidence in the information.

Maybe C.P. or George (Cajun G8) can shed some light on this.

Well, this is interesting - and frustrating. I have emailed a couple of vendors about the 6638 wheel but haven't gotten any replies yet.The lkqcorp.com shows 560-06638 as a used (presumably factory) 18x8 5 triangle spoke wheel. It also shows ALY06638U10 as an aftermarket 18x8 machined and silver wheel, 5 triple spokes. No pics of course, and neither is shown as available in any zip code I entered.

So, I started investigating the 19x8 GXP wheel. (I had mistakenly thought they were wider and/or staggered.) Since they are the same 8" width, assuming the offset is similar, the only sacrifice would be ride quality, more weight and more expensive tires. Apparently these are in the GM system as part no. 92212153, and still available to be ordered (at $700-$900 each!). Haven't found any used ones; the lkqcorp.com site shows a part no. 560-06651. described as 19x8, 5 double spoke (opt PZ6).

Just a quick piece of info if it helps, the Pontiac G8 GT wheels (18's - as on my car) were apparently manufactured by Enkei. Good source for them for me was Craigslist on a national search, my wheels came out of Nebraska if I remember correctly.

Good luck

And my tip for finding 19" GXP wheels would be to search AU ebay for "Redline Wheels".

You'll also find the 2014 Chevy SS forged 19" wheels being called Redline in AU because there was a VE Series2 which used them, current Holden VF also uses them.

You'll find these forged 19" wheels in both 8.5" and 9.5" width
8.5" width is #92230192 and weighs 10.7kg Offset is 48P

Thanks for the Aussie info, very helpful. The 8.5" wide SS style would be a strong candidate. Are they made by Super Alloy in Taiwan like the forged GXP/CTS-V wheels? The part number doesn't seem to generate any hits in the U.S.

Part number 92230192 definately works in the Holden system.
I'll try and find the Part number for the matching 9.5" wide rears later today.
