We had owned the car for less than a month--this was 7 years ago.

I wasn't going to start doing stuff while car was in warranty, but I knew I didn't want the tires, and the Camaro wheels were a compromise, as I would have preferred wider. I eventually did go to an 19 x 8.5 wheel, but ultimately I've decided to stay with an 18" setup, but now 9" wide. Car is on SS springs and my own design rear lower control arm that allows height adjustment with the same springs.

Bill, who did you find to widen the alloy wheels? They’re kind of hard to find.

https://weldcraftwheels.com/
Located in Livonia MI

Never have used a widening service--I didn't follow through on these, as I could not justify the cost vs benefit compared with new wheels.

Not sure of others that may offer service--I can imagine some exist, but also that some just ship to Weldcraft for the actual modification.

Eric Vaughn Machine in CA has stopped widening, only narrowing, and is no longer accepting new work - he's been at this for 46 years and wants some time to work on his own projects. He did work on some wheels for me, YEARS ago, but it was not for widening or narrowing.

Got it. I think I looked at them, and their 'process' info page was rather lacking in detail. Good to know they at least don't exclude aluminum wheels as the couple of other companies I looked up. That was the concern, since you were showing aluminum wheels.
