Already bought them from Ebay need them soon. The Dorman one looks too sketchy for me to even use haha. The dealers around here aren't super friendly. Thanks for the info.

The dealers around here aren't super friendly....
If you don't mind telling us--where is "around here"??? Someone on here may be able to get you a hook-up, if they only knew your location.

You might try showing the less-than-friendly dealer(s) what you can buy the part for elsewhere--the ZZP part still looks like it cost $11.50 each--$23.00 for a pair.

As for the Dorman part--a close-up of the OE part wouldn't look any different, I assure you, and you paid a lot more for it.

I understand the urgency--AutoZone or other local sources would have had what works in stock. Rock Auto would have cost you $9.89 for two banjo bolts, before the 5% discount. Adding priority mail delivery (2-3 days) would add $3 to the total.

Don't mean to beat the drum (or you) on this...

Even getting them at supplier costs, ZZP beats dealerships. Best price anywhere I could find was $10 ish each. When GM sells a bunch of a part they raise the prices on that part.

I do see that the ZZP eBay listing is for a pair of bolts, which was not clearly stated in previous posts, so it's $13, not $23.

I maintain that there is nothing about the Dorman version ($3.45 each at Rock Auto) that disqualifies it as a lowest-cost option, if it really comes down to stretching available funds. Dorman 14100 is $6.99 each at AutoZone, and assuming it's in stock, it would be available the same day if it's an urgent need situation.

ZZP does not quote their banjo bolts as "GM sourced" (no PN shown), and could easily be the same Dorman part.
From the eBay listing:
Item specifics
Condition: New
Brand: ZZPerformance
Placement on Vehicle: Left, Right, Front, Rear
Manufacturer Part Number: Bolt - M10 Banjo

"These are hard to find." - not true

Understand, I don't have it "in" for ZZP--they provide good stuff at good prices. I've built many brake kits over the years, so I've followed parts costs & availability from various sources over a long period of time, and while eBay does have it's devotee's, I've always valued the relationships I've developed directly with parts suppliers, especially dealerships, which I also understand is not always the first choice of vehicle owners doing their own work. Can I buy stuff cheaper than (my) dealer's price (?)--probably. There is value in the ability to go to a dealer and get information that may not be available anywhere else, or sometimes end up being inaccurate via other sources.

Just as I suspected. I have run into issues. The Caprice brake line block is smaller than the SS brake line block. The bolt I got from ZZP is correct, but it is too long. Now I have to buy lines or find a shorter bolt. Any suggestions? It doesn't look like the brake line comes out of the bracket.

SSpeedracer wrote:I installed a pair of "take-off" Camaro SS Brembo calipers. Dealership mechanic said they had 8 miles on them, and they looked like it. Basically new. $250+30 shipping.

I was going to use the Camaro brake hoses also, until I realized that the Caprice hose assembly includes the body bracket. Initially, I thought the caprice bracket was rusted on to the hose. But its not. There is no ring clip, its swagged permanently together.

So I swapped the banjo bolt from the camaro hose to the Caprice hose. One caveat, the banjo bolt is pre-assembled to the camaro hose for factory assembly. One of the copper gaskets is crimped against the bolt's shaft. A couple blows from a hammer makes for quick disassembly, but the gasket will be destroyed.
I somehow missed this post. Yeah that is the issue now. Why is the bracket one piece with the hose? How dumb. About to dremel it out and just zip tie some SS stainless steel brake lines up. So the 2016 Caprice must have the same brake line block thickness as the Camaro and the SS. My 2013 Caprice brake line block thickness is completely different than the SS brake line block thickness.

The picture of the brake line block attached is my brothers ZL1 brakes that had the exact same size bolt as the one I purchased, so assuming it is the same as the Camaro and the SS.

Yep, from Bill's Techna-Fit thread here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2236 :

Brackets: options are to either take the front PPV hose and bracket, cut off the hose, and remove the swedged-in fitting, OR to purchase a pair of replacement hoses from the aftermarket (see Rock Auto) and use the brackets that come with those (new rubber) hoses. I used Centric 150.62183 and 150.62184 (listed for 2012-2017 PPV & 2014-2017 SS), or you can use Centric 150.62177 and 150.62178 (listed for 2011 PPV). Prices are between $15 & $20 each. The brackets for these hoses are held in place by snap rings/C-clips. Brackets all appear to be the same, from my observation, so the source isn't year-critical.

The brackets do require modification, by opening the hole for the hose fitting to 39/64" (0.609")--see more details in recent posts to the SS Forum thread.

So based on the quote below from Bill's thread, if I purchased aftermarket stainless steel brake lines for of a Chevy SS they would work on my 2013 Caprice?:

"The other end of the hose, mounted to the chassis/body, connects to the hard lines running from the brake MC & ABS controller. These fittings are configured as inverted flare joints to match the hard lines, and they are also M10x1.0 for VF and all PPV's."

So I just need to buy:
1. Chevy SS stainless steel brake line kit
2. Centric 150.62183 and 150.62184 if I want brackets

Anyone have any suggestions on the best place to get SS stainless brake lines? Any forum vendor discounts?

Update: Read most of the thread from Bill. So I just need Techna-Fit CHEV-4500 lines and brackets.

Thanks for the help.

Looks like I missed a few exchanges in the disussion--I was on the road from Thursday until yesterday evening.

With the Techna-Fit hoses, while they come with banjo bolts & crush gaskets, I don't recall whether they send all M10x1.0 (aluminum calipers - Brembo & PBR), or a mix. If it's all M10x1, that's good. Anyone installing these hoses on stock PPV brakes should be able to re-use the stock banjo bolts for the front.

GM crush gaskets (copper) are PN 21012386 - sold in a 10-pack.

You don't have to buy new (aftermarket) hoses to get brackets, just cut the hoses off of what's on your car now, cut away the swedged metal portion, and size the hole for the Techna-Fit shoulder fitting size (39/64")--I have some take-off brackets that I could send you, so they could be prepped ahead of time to make the job go more quickly, or I can modify them ready for use....just need you to send me your take-offs and cover shipping. But new brackets work, too, and they're prettier--the hoses are clipped in place, not swedged. They will still need to be slightly enlarged for the fitting.

As far as the ZZP banjo bolts (or others) being too long, unless you're saying the shoulder is bottoming out because the hose fitting is thinner/too thin, just shorten them--nothing says you can't do that!
