I have the new Eibach springs, the front struts and urethane mounts. I saw in another thread that I need to order new upper and lower washers for the mounts due to a design change. The upper and lower were the same part, but now they’re different. I’m pretty sure the lower one is the new design, so I only plan to replace it.

The lower washer is p/n 92421239

The problem I’m having is my new mount didn’t come with a bearing, and I haven’t found where to buy one separately.

Thanks Navy, but yikes! I thought they’d be twenty bucks. I think I’ll see if I luck out and not break mine.

I bought BMR thinking they would come with them. Adding another $70 for bearings make the Whiteline a better price if they come with bearing. Confusing the issue is an Amazon Q&A saying the Whitelines have the bearings built in, but instructions on Whiteline’s website has a diagram showing a separate bearing. So I started the return of the BMRs and trying to figure out if the whitelines for $165 on Amazon will need bearings purchased separately. Note: these $165 Whitelines are the pieces with the built in bearing comment.

What say you?

Did you get the BMR Super Pro mounts or their rubber mounts?

AFAIK the SuperPro mounts should come with bearings... If you got the rubber mounts this is a moot point.

edit: tried to delete my post as since you mention you are returning the BMRs the facts about the SuperPro are irrelevant

Thanks for the replys anyway. Amazon has the same part number as HoldenUS and at a better price. I’ll likely order them tomorrow.

You'll want to at least have the bearings handy, or another ride to the parts house when the old bearings explode across your garage floor when you pull the compressor off. I'd also recommend covering that end of the strut with a garbage bag as you're removing the compressor. Luckily, I was able to locate all of the needle bearings for my old ones, so I have them as spares, but was able to pick up stock replacements at the parts house after shooting the bearings all over the place.

All the parts are in and I had just enough time last night to put the car on stands last night. It's time to start taking things apart.

Dummy, I got a pair of Whitelines that come with new bearings and a single washer. Whiteline's instructions say to re-use the existing top washer.

Looking at all the parts diagrams online for 2011-2017 PPVs shows both the top and bottom washer are the same part number (90223654).

In October 2016 GM said here https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/ ... 4-9999.pdf that the top and bottom are now different part numbers and neither of them are the original part. They're actually the washers for the SS struts. 92273396 for the top washer and 92421239 for the bottom washer. Otherwise this may happen:

I'm inclined to buy the new top washers, but wonder if the bottom washer supplied by Whiteline is good to use. I plan on emailing them this question.

The Whiteline instructions also state that I must use new knuckle bolts, as the old ones are stretched, I can see the logic in that, but don't recall many mentioning that.
