G8 Eibach Springs Installed!

Post by YamWarrior »

Finally got around to installing the Eibach springs a few days ago. Overall, very happy with ride quality and drop height. Used them on stock struts.

Looks nice. You got a ride height I got with about 1/10th the hassle!!

And isn't it amazing how MUCH lower an inch or so drop really looks? I'm still amazed when I walk out to the garage and walk by the car.

Thanks! You can say that again. It looks so much better than I imagined in person. Really pictures do not do it justice.

Can you cite the part number or model? Thought there were a few for the G8's correct?

Here is the link I bought them from.

They are the pro kit for the G8 v6/v8. The price has dropped a bit since I purchased.

How much did it lower the car? I have the H&R springs but haven't installed them yet and realized they're supposed to drop the car 2", which I think will be too much. 1" would be perfect.

The H&Rs lowered my 9C3 2" in the rear and 1 7/8" in the front. It is definitely not too low since the cars are extra high to begin with.

I'd say a little over an inch from factory height. The ride is great though. I have had 3 sets of golf clubs, a full tank of gas, and two grown men in the back seat and it hasnt rubbed. Now when I put camaro wheels on that may differ, but with factory wheels it's fine.
