ANOTHER FACTORY WHEEL OPTION

Post by Navy Lifer »

Tried it, and it fits/clears Brembo front calipers, as long as the D1474 pads (with vibration dampers) are NOT used.

2016 Camaro OE for LS/LT (V6)

Weight is under 25# each

18 x 8.5, +32mm offset, which is right on the edge as far as acceptable for fender clearance--depending on ride height and tire size--I plan to use 255/45-18.

I'm also looking at machining the back of the wheels ~3mm to make them +35mm offset--there's plenty of meat to do it. Just that little bit can make a big visual difference in the tire to body relationship.

that's the problem, I don't want to copy someone else, and there being so many, I can't decide on a set. And seeing you post on offset. I hate to spend $1000 and have them look funny. I'll have to get out the old tape measure.

These are the next town over for me.

those wheels have been done, but honestly, unless camaro wheels are hard to come by up there thats not a good price for those.
the tires are too big, and those wheels go for sub $400 all day long from what I've seen

I know they were to much $. I was going to offer much less and sell the tires. They look good on that car.

My Caprice had those wheels on it when I bought it. Just eyeballing it, but it looks like the offset may make them poke out a little more than the factory steel wheels but I haven't checked the actual offset yet.

Good to see them on a car! Are the tires OE PPV size?

Remember, stock wheels are 8" wide, and the Camaro wheels on your car are 8.5" wide.

Stock steel wheels are +46mm offset

Camaro wheels are +32mm offset, which means they do "poke" a good bit further.
