Let's see your lowered Caprice!

Post by PPV »

Can those of you who have lowered your car post some photos? Also include what kit you used with part #s. If you had rubbing issues what's the wheel tire combo? This could help those who are trying to determine how they want to approach it.

I started this because I need to lower my car so it doesn't have that suv crossover stance.
Currently running 245/35/20+35 front and 275/35/20+35 out back.

i ebayed g8 coil overs and bought the cheapest ones that came up. Overall for the price pretty happy and they would probably make a great coil over for a car with a much less aggresive setup than mine. They ride decent and qualtiy wise they looked like any other coil over... If you want any more info you can check out my "making z06 wheels fit" thread gets in to more detail about really lowering these cars

Just installed H&R 50750 lowering springs. Gives a nice drop for the money.

It's an optical delusion. I was going to widen the rears by an 1" but haven't gotten around to it.

That looks great! I can't wait until I get my coil-overs installed. I'm also wanting to widen the rear wheels. Thought about buying a pair of wheels that are in the For Sale section, so I could get them done while still driving the car. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Yup have a set of VMR V710s coming in 20x9+35 and 20x10+45. Going to wrap them in 245/35 & 285/30s.

Hope to do some widened stock steel wheels down the road for some dot drag radials. Too many other priorities first.
