New converter in!

Post by leadfart »

I finally got around to putting my baby stall in. 8-) Circle D single disc, 2800-3000. HPT in New Braunfels did the work. The owner called, and she's ready to go. He said it drove just fine, didn't feel too loosey, goosey!

I'll pick it up tomorrow, I'm hoping I can still hook on the DR's on a decent prep. If it sixty's like I hope, should be good for low elevens, in good air! :D

Don't know when yet. After I pick it up, I'll do a little driving with it, to make sure I don't need to tweak the tune. Then, when it cools down a little, I'll go out on a Friday T&T, and see what happens!

Picked up the car, and am pleasantly surprised so far. No real driveabiltiy issues so far. I can tell it has the converter, but it's not real noticeable. Of course, any low speed punches are futile! I have several tuning choices, but I'll leave it alone, until I get real issues, or if one of my tuners shows up conveniently! 8-)

Let us know when you get the front end off the ground at launch! Haven't seen a Caprice PPV do a wheelie yet. LMAO!

I've been thinking seriously about this for our Caprice. I LOVE the one we have in the 96 SS. The car is very well-mannered on the street, perhaps a bit 'lazy' off the light at normal pedal movements, but if you mat it, the car just jumps up and is gone! I'd really like that with the Caprice.
