thank you. im aware thats why i still dont have tap shift. :-) i even tried wireing the 9c3/g8 shifter into my bcm but you definatly need a reprogram to make it work. i used to know how they all worked but i havent thought about it since i tried to wire it up. i do know the 9c1 traction and sport mode switches are just momentary grounds. i think the g8 are specific resistances for up and down.

Would this gear indicator work on a stock 2013 9C1 ? Demonstration video shows the gear number in automatic mode. They say "Easily plugs into your existing OBD-2 port". Video shows all four color indicators at the same time.

So Chris, to update the BCM, would we have to pull it and ship it to you? How does that work? I'm kind of interested in this thing. Not sure how, or when, but am interested in being able to manually go through the gears, not just getting 1-2-3, hold, then 4-5-6. Thanks.

There is a thread somewhere on here that i put some detail into. But yes you need to have the BCM reprogrammed and come up with a shiftier button/switch setup. When i did mine Chris told me the current gear could be displayed in the DIC with a IPC reprogram. i can neither confirm nor deny this as i have a set of aeroforce gauges that display the gears for me.
