I have a working compressor again. Hoping to be able to make some progress again now.

Welded bolts to the existing mounting pad to facilitate the attachment of the separate compressor and motor. Takes up a lot more space than the junk oil less compressor that was on there. You can see here that I'm not a completely incompetent welder. Looks way better than my efforts on the thin stainless.

Here is the mostly finished product. Moves air. Still need gauges, regulator, and relief. Will at least get a relief installed before I run it up to pressure.

Nice compressor upgrade. I can't stand "oil-less" compressors. It basically means when all of the oil burns up, it's now oil-less. LOL! Disposable junk.

I have two compressors. Both belt-driven. One is a small 120VAC single stage with a 30 gallon tank. The other is a 240VAC 2-stage with a 100 gallon tank. Both are over 50 years old. I change the oil yearly. The heads are finally getting tired on both of them (after 50 years, can't complain, LOL). When they die, I'll just replace the heads with Harbor Freight heads and plow on. Is yours a Harbor Freight single stage? Or did you get it from another supplier? Sometimes these tangents can't be avoided. LOL. Sorry to keep the tangent going here...

Manifolds are done

This motor and head came from a used compressor from a friend. Tank was shot. I’ve had it sitting around for a while. Not sure of the brand, but I suspect it is from the 70s or maybe 80s. Twin piston single stage.

Went as far as I’m going to go on the manifolds tonight. Smoothed them out quite a bit. Could have gone farther, but headers are likely in the future anyway.

Progress has been slow.
The check valve I used when rebuilding the compressor failed so I ended up switching back to the original and switching most of the steel pipe over to copper. Cleaner setup anyway.
I’ll load some photos of the manifold flange gaskets I made, the mating flange for the manifold, test fitting the first piece of pipe, the O2 sensor bung, and the whole first bend with flange.

More progress

I finished up the flange to attach to the driver side manifold last night. Then welded in the second O2 sensor bung on the passenger side.
I cut the first bend for the driver side since the chop saw was still set to the correct angle from the passenger side cut.
Then I mocked up a few bends and took a measurement for the next piece on the passenger side, cut it, and welded it on.
Not a lot to show for pictures. Only takes a couple pics show pretty much everything I did.

Test fitting the passenger side pipe with both O2 sensors. The rear is turned off in my tune. It is basically a placeholder for a wideband:

Driver side

A couple photos of the driver side pipe. O2 sensor bungs are welded in and I started fitting pipes.
I actually have the driver side tacked in up to the expansion chamber, but I didn’t get photos yet. Really wanted to finish welding this section up, install the O2 sensors, and fire it up - but I ran out of work time. Maybe Monday.
