That s not a stock system from the engine to the axle ?? And a cam?
No wonder your solo is louder than most, LOL. Sounds great.
My straight up" solo only" is much quieter for those considering it.

Kooks 1 7/8 to a 3 inch collector, no cats, 3" back to the 2.5" SOLO J pipes and now Beyea race mufflers used as tips after the J pipes. It really reduced the rasp quite a bit.

Sounds great!
But sadly it would never get approval from my better half.
What cam are you running?

Re: SOLO Axle Back J Pipes
I have Solo Axle Backs and I am concerned about my neighbors as well. I am pre-starting my car at 4:10AM. No complaints yet but I really don't want the noise either - especially since I don't think I'm getting anything in return. Problem is partially solved if I get my car in the garage.
I hope this isn't a "hi-jack". If anyone wants to take me up on a trade... The Axle Backs are 4-500 bucks new. I'll take 200 for a trade for a factory exhaust in good shape. Mine is in excellent condition (couple months old from previous owner). It would probably require someone be nearby... I'm in NW Indiana (near Chi-town).
I may change my exhaust at some point but even at that point, it'll be headers and a complete system that won't be compatible with axle-backs.

I am interested in a trade. I am in the west suburbs of Chicago. While I don't want to be too loud because I like my neighbors, my stock exhaust is insanely quiet (good job GM!). Are you running a stock tune and cam on your car with the Solo setup? Are you able to provide video/audio of start up and idle?GammaFlat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 11:38 am I have Solo Axle Backs and I am concerned about my neighbors as well.
