CD, I am using the ZL1/SS cats and head pipes and an extended ZL1 system to the back. We did have to shorten the "height" of the head pipes to accommodate the longer "depth" of the Z28 headers.

i did finally manage to pick up a set of the LS7's , and was lucky to get them from a local and they had less than 5k on them , ive decided to fit them to my 16 SS , nand ive got 2" ARH to put on the caprice

there is a couple tri-y headers out there , they do eliminate the cats though

Note that factory manifolds can support a fair amount of HP/Torque. If you're staying with shorties, you might as well stay with the factory manifolds. The real restriction in the system is in the inlet to the front cat, which can be remedied with their replacement of aftermarket units.
