I removed the resonator on my car before. The sound was not good plus there's the annoying drone.

If you leave your stock muffler it sounds the same. Quiet.

Concerning Solo's QR resonators for the L77. Help, yes. Eliminate, not even close. Magnaflows (or Borla "crate muffler") are what an LS needs at the end of the line.
Note: Solo's UHF converters are great, but their resonators are barely thick enough to weld. Had to set the welder on the thinest setting it had, to install Solo's 2.25" QR resonators. A larger weld would be considerably stronger, and more stable over time.

I'd delete the Cali emissions 1st, (downstream honeycombs, if not necessary in one's state). The closer the X-pipe is to the engine the better, and 1 X is better than no X on an LS for balanced combustion scavenging.

2 things I got rid of. Muffler is the next thing to go.

Hey. Do you have any vids of how it sounded with that middle section removed and leaving the stock mufflers? Was there a lot of drone or just a little louder/raspier?

Dragging this thread back from the dead. The mid pipe section, is it stainless or just regular exhaust steel? Gonna start hacking mine up and I want to be prepared.
