Re: Budget g8 headers
Camaro oil cooler is in a different location by a few inches. It sits farther forward on the motor and is less in the way of the exhaust. It's possible that it might work but also might not
Re: Budget g8 headers
space from the oil pan out is where im thinking , not the front to backfuzzkill wrote:Camaro oil cooler is in a different location by a few inches. It sits farther forward on the motor and is less in the way of the exhaust. It's possible that it might work but also might not

Re: Budget g8 headers
Is it just me or does that now look like you have a oil heater? Is that giant brick designed as the heat sink like to get rid of heat in the oil? Looks like its surrounded by the header tubes now.
Re: Budget g8 headers
It's not cooled by air- the cooler has engine coolant circulated through it.xcidmigs wrote:Is it just me or does that now look like you have a oil heater? Is that giant brick designed as the heat sink like to get rid of heat in the oil? Looks like its surrounded by the header tubes now.

Re: Budget g8 headers
heat shield is better , but yes it would help some
Re: Budget g8 headers
what about wrapping the oil cooler parts themselves if thats no a heat sink might help insulate it from becoming one. I've always heard header wrap isn't the best for their long term survival....
Re: Budget g8 headers
that defeats the purpose , the cooler while liquid to liquid , it also uses the air to remove some heatxcidmigs wrote:what about wrapping the oil cooler parts themselves if thats no a heat sink might help insulate it from becoming one.
