Cold Air Intake

Post by ColoCapriceGuy »

Has anyone fitted a cold air intake on their 3.6?

I have searched google with 3.6 SIDI and have found OTR Kits for $500. $500 is a little bit too much, however, it appears maybe a 3.6 camaro intake would work. Those intakes are much more affordable at $100. Has anyone tried that?

So the 2012-2015 LFX Camaro intakes $80-$100 will fit with minor adjustments to the heat shield. There are some smaller heat shielding options available which may not need any trimming however.

This is a lot more affordable than $600 for a OTR solution on a V6. Hope this helps!

I have a CAI for a v6 that I order from Australia that routes the intake down to the front bumper/wheel well area which is where it should be pulling air from. It's still in the box and I went supercharged so I'm not going to install it. Email me at sjeannides@yahoo.com if you're interested.
