LSA coming together

Post by orgdnr »

Been collecting my parts for a few months and should be ready for the install in a week or two. I'll put a parts list up as it's a bit different than G8 and SS. The SC wad cnc ported by WCCH and looks like jewelry inside.

what PSI pulley will you run and why the porting of the blower? I've seen that done on the 3800IIsc but not on LSA?

8.6 lower and 2.55 upper. Should produce 12 lbs with the bypass shut. I'll see what the fuel pump can handle and may go to an 8.0 lower. The ported blower makes 30 hp and 27 ft lbs. Over an unported on a CTS-V. I traded a forklift for it since I hadn't needed it for a few years.

When west coast ports them they are also upgraded to the 10 bolt pulley hub

Definitely interested in the list. I am considering a similar setup. Very interested in the results as well.

X2 I literally lay in my bed some nights thinking of what the best combo would be according to what i can spend or think I'm able to actually install at home.... Really wondering if you are going to install a cam or DOD delete since you have the intake coming off or just what..... The title of this should be "LSA TEASER"

I'm also interested in this install . I have been following some of the installs on the G8 forum and I truly see this real good bang for your buck type of setup . So looking forward to the updates .

Still waiting on parts. Gmpartsdirect just sent me a shipping confirmation 2 weeks after my order. Needless to say,I would rather pay list at the dealer.
I'm using 1000cc injectors so I can run an e85 mix when at the track. Not sure how much the pump will support but it's rated at 250lph and the same pn as a Zl1.
I hope to put it together the weekend before thanksgiving.

fitting the inter cooler. I started with a bobcat radiator but the core leaks like colander so I found a 23x6.75x2.75 from cx racing in hacienda hights Ca. the cooler in the pics is the junk unit. I should have the new one Tuesday. Don't bother with the ZL1 cooler on our cars, with plastic tanks and making the brackets isn't worth the $30 savings over the larger aftermarket unit and if you trim the intrusion beam you keep the washer bottle.

New cooler and pump mounted. I used nut certs for the mounts on the lower beam. A coil bracket worked well on the HX pump.

Modified the HX ports to -12. Looks nice but I don't think it made a much difference. Original fittings are .480 and these are .625
