Any Dyno Tuners in the Pittsburgh area?

Post by jpalmer »

The closest big city I live around is Pittsburgh so I figure if there is a tuner someplace close it's there. Anybody know of a tuner for these cars? Doesn't have to be Pitt could be anywhere close to that area.

Also, is it worth getting a 91 octane tune on a completely stock motor w/ only 1000 miles on the odo, no CAI and stock exhaust?

I would think you would want to take advantage of the tune . The only way I know to do it is with headers and cai . That way you can take full advantage of your tune . You will be leaving a lot of hp on the table if you do it the other way .

That's what I figured. The CAI isn't a big deal but headers and an exhaust is big bucks, and then there is the drone factor. I have spent a lot of time in the Exhaust Threads and there doesn't appear to be a real good solution.....for me yet.

Thanks.

These cars have a pretty conservative tune on them from the factory, so you could see some gains from a tune aven in stock form. It would be pretty cool to SE just what a good tune could do with tes cars.

Most tuners offer free updates after the initial tune, so I'd check with your tuner to see what they offer. If they allow free updates, then by all means try a tune, then see what you gane from your aftermarket parts.

Well if I can find a tuner in my area or close I might give it a shot but so far I haven't found anyone.

I have also been checking out the RotoFab CAI and might spring for one, headers and an exhaust definitely gotta wait.
