Do ported heads matter?
Re: Do ported heads matter?
Just to add to the commentary... back in the days of the supercharged L67 GTP's and Buick Regals, we would have customers add headers to their engines. They would "lose" 3-4 pounds of "boost", but gain power... That was always an interesting call on a Monday.
They would add a smaller driven supercharger pulley, and gain boost. Then add the headers and lose more boost than what the pulley had gained. Explaining the different restrictions in an engine, boost stacking and the new found power was always interesting.

Speaking of heads I liked this video since I believe it pertains pretty close to the motors in our cars.
