I’ve read other posts that those things don’t fit under a stock hood without milling the top. What’s your solution?

at least in my situation I can close the hood completely with the supercharger installed but it is extremely close and will surely rub with the engine running. so I will need to make clearance somehow. thinking about just nicely cutting the inner structure of the hood. those fins are very small but maybe i will look into getting my friend to mill down the top.

Milling the fins is what another member did for clearance. Seemed to work well.

Re: Lucy (2011 Caprice) gets a supercharger
My brand new gm supercharger lid leaked as soon as I put coolant in it at the quick connect fittings. After a week of trying to make something work, I got 12 an fittings welded to the lid and got nice 90 degree fittings. i also got my custom intake welded up its made from a 90 and 60 degree bend of 4 inch tube . i aslo realized the pins are different for my new and stock MAF sensor so i had to de-pin and swap 2 wires i also installed summit racing spark plug wire heat socks

They are not that much more than used one when you are buying from www.gmpartswarehouse.com. I am a GM technician and they even beat my employee prices! I have most things collected based on "Silversled"'s great write up of his LSA install. I still have a few big things to figure out like
What Intake/air cleaner to use?
What injectors to buy?
and Why does everyone seem to install LSA valve covers?
Any help/advice would be appreciated!
I plan to post pictures and prices I paid to help others
Nice work!
The smallest injector I'd run (and did run) were the LSA GM injectors. On a stock blower, with stock pulleys and ZL1 fuel pump controller programming, the injector duty cycles were around 80% which is for all intents and purposes maxed.
As for the LSA valve covers, I chose to run them for the following reasons:
1) They look nicer IMHO
2) It allowed me to run the stock ZL1 PCV setup to look stock
3) I got rid of the ugly coil bracket (which needs to be redrilled to mount lower)
4) It has a nicer flatter land for welding or press fitting an AN style vent fitting later.
