DYNO DAY! vids included

Post by slixx »

Yes, its still stock. I wanted a good baseline before I DOD delete, cam swap, rear end swap...etc...
Anyway, I hope you like the vids, I am happy with the results.

For everyone else... dont watch the first video, just backing in the shop.

Second, 100% stock? E85 or 87?

Those are some nice numbers for a stock car.

Also what gear did it get run in? 4th or 5th?

It was 2/3 E-85 and 1/3 93. Im not sure the gear. I wasnt there, the GF and kids took the car (dang work) and 100% stock from what I know of the car.

I do know they might have messed up the correction factor. I was just hoping it would be above 300rwhp.
The chart shows the max HP and speed at around 103mph if that helps for what gear you think it might be in.

Not trying to be a dink here but 107mph at 6,000 rpm assuming stock 27" tall tires and factory 2.92 rear end says 1.53 ratio in trans = 3rd gear.
Thats a pretty low gear to be running the dyno. Probably why the hp seems higher than expected.

Had they run it in 4th at 1.15 ratio the hp would have been a little closer to 300hp.

That being said. Alot of dyno guys dont like to run tire speeds much over 100mph.
4th gear is closer to 150mph at 6k.

333 HP @ 107? I could live with that. Shame the stereo racket was so high, it would have been fun to hear the car.
