Roto-Fab Intake - CEL?

Post by Lupuri »

Hi everyone.
I'm planning on doing mods in stages. Wondering if anyone caught a check engine light with just an intake? I'm going with the roto-fab unit.

Thanks

I've seen several of these in person on Chevy SS's and have only run across one fellow who said he got a CEL. The Roto-Fab is well designed but whether you're increasing the amount of air passing through the MAF or changing the condition of the air flow, it is always possible to change the MAF calibration enough that the ECM fuel trim cannot compensate to maintain the target AFR.

While you might not expect that the Roto-Fab to set off a CEL in most cases, you can't be surprised if it does.

I have had the rotofab intake on mine for about 2 months now and haven't gotten a CEL.
