HP Tuners works!

Post by greasychevy »

Just got back from getting a tune. What a difference that made. From a stand still i can light them up through 2nd, from a roll i go almost sideways when hitting 2nd. Much more responsive and no more waiting to accelerate/downshift. its like a different car. amazing.

Was it a "canned" tune, or a dyno tune?

Thanks,
Tom

Fixing to find out myself. I scored a HP Tuners MVPI Pro interface on EBAY for $265 + shipping last week, working on getting it registered so I can use the system now....

EBAY is still my friend :)

Custom street tune (one off written for your car), or "canned" street tune (same street tune for G8 GT 6.0L, and others)?

Thanks,

I'm curious to find out what you guys get on the dyno with the tunes...

i know this is an old thread, but are you able to keep e85 with this? i would love to delete AFM, get a better trans tune and a linear pedal to throttle body ratio, not to mention reduce torque management, but i run exclusively e85. it just smells better.

THe remote tuner I use with blackbear performance told me that there would be just a few adjustments to my tune to run e85 to its maximum potential and i believe that would leave the trans tune which is a separate file alone. I feel compelled to go get a tank full of e85 now just to smell it
