New Caprice, doesn't start. Need help!

Ok, got the key to turn back, I had a fuse that needed replacing. Still no start, and the indicator still reads park, no matter what position the shifter is in.

I hope you got a real good deal on it. Chasing your issue could be simple and cheap, or not so cheap!

As for the Stabiltrack, You can push and hold the button down for 6 seconds and its off.

On the 2011 cars which was the first sales year here, GM had the stability program engaged all the time, the "performance/sport" button does not turn it off just alters the program, allegedly they feared the people "testing" the orginal cars would possibly turn it off and then wreck out due to the vastly superior power and handling they would experience....They added the feature of turning it completely off by holding for longer in 2012... My tuner could not find any way to change this function. Try doing a burnout in a 2011 and you get massive computer retaliation... trust me I've tried...

FOUND IT! Winds up the nitwit that cut the obd2 port out, caused an open in the CAN BUS wires. I purchased a $30 1 year online subscription for the shop manual for a 2011 PPV, and after about 5 minutes, realized what the issue was. Started right up, misfire and a rattle. Going to dive in soon and see what happens.

Sounds good! My first thought might be failed DoD setup.

Congrats on the start!! Sounds like a LS7 is in your future, unless you opt for the LSA option.

If you keep the car more than a few months, get the hard copy version of the FSM.
