I think one of my cam lobes (and probably engine to go with it) was on its last leg. My car has 121k miles and about 4000 (!) idle hours. I don't know if there was any work done prior, but I certainly wouldn't doubt it.

I HATE AFM LIFTERS! :)

Looks like you're gonna need a new cam. I'd see that as good news, bad news. Bad news that the time & money will be spent, but good news that you get a better cam, and possibly a better engine. I could live with that.

It got a cam, and the other goodies listed in the title. :)

I wanted some lope and power, but also wanted to get rid of the possible grenade. This just shows that the pin had already been pulled on the grenade and it was about to go off.

I look forward to seeing what this thing puts down. Sounds very similar to mine and I put down 423/396 to the tire.

No dyno yet, but I ran a 13.2 @ 109. There's definitely more there with some tweaking. The cam has a slight surge at highway speeds if the RPMs are under 1900-2000. I'm going to bump up the RPMs a little with this. Got it with 13k miles for $550.

Nice! There's a guy on the G8 forum trying to sell one for $600, but he won't ship. Probably could have sole a garage full of the things if he would only ship.

I sent a message to a guy in Katy on Camaro5 forum that put one in an ad in December for $650. He texted me yesterday and turns out he still had it, and was 2 blocks away. Went down to $550 and I scooped it up.

I just got an LS3 cam with 8000 miles for free from a friend. Is it a good match for the 6.0 in a car as heavy as ours with 2.92 gears. The lowest gear any ls3 car comes with that I'm aware of is 3.27 or something like that in auto ss.
