Got any pics of your local cars with hitches? I'd love to know what they look like underneath.ImpalaPPV wrote:The Caprices in the 2014 MSP tests have hitches installed...as do the ones I have seen on patrol here in Arizona. I know this post is a year late.

Re: Trailer hitch
I will see what I can do. I'm not sure how the local Smokeys will be about me crawling under their cars... The MSP tests have a few good shots of the rear with a hitch.
Re: Trailer hitch
Looking at the MSP pics, it appears to be the same hitch design that I got for my car (mounts as part of the impact beam). It's hard to tell, but on the white car, did they delete the lower bumper trim panel?

Re: Trailer hitch
Just looked at the 2014 report and saw the hitches and they look like a 2" receiver. I also noticed that the Tauruses (Tauri?) also appear to have hitches, but look to be the 1 1/4 Class I/II receiver.

Re: Trailer hitch
Nope. I found a junkyard in Australia that was willing to ship to an Australian address. It arrived at that address Wednesday and now I begin the wait for it to make it across the Pacific...and then get shipped to me in FL. Hopefully it won't be too long as my parts car just arrived so I should have what I need to get my 9C3 running...and with the hitch ...towing!

Re: Trailer hitch
I have 2 projects and one car will provide parts for both. It's much cheaper than locating and buying all the needed parts separately. I'll strip and scrap what's left once I have what I need.
