P0606, p2610

Post by Mikevtc »

Hello,
I have a 2012 6.0 ppv.
I'm getting p0606 and p2610 codes. Displaying traction control fault, safety mode active, reduced power, and check engine on the dash. I repaired shorted wires at the crank position sensor plug. No change. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with these codes and faults?

Thanks,
Mike

Both of these codes, especially P0606, points to a failed PCM. If you know someone with a high-end scanner (Solus or Tech 2), get it troubleshot completely before replacing it. Maybe getting it updated might fix the issue.

I found a ecm at a junk yard from a 13. Took everything to WellTek in Nashville and had it all programmed and flashed and matched to my keys and blah blah blah. At long last, my car is back among the living, responding perfectly to my throttle commands!
Mike at WellTek is super nice and very knowledgeable. He only does factory programming , not tuning.

Now I can get'er tuned. I have several options for that locally. I will update after having that done.
